TLSI began in 1977 as the LSI division of Telephonics,
supporting the in-house custom IC needs of its parent's
communications and military systems busineses. In 1981, with a
capacity exceeding internal demand, TLSI was made a
subsidiary of Telephonics and chartered to serve the
merchant custom and standard IC markets.

TLSI's standard products include VCXO and PLL clock generators as well as high speed clock fanout buffers and logic translators. TLSI's products have found wide application in digital multimedia applications such as set top boxes, digital TV, HDTV, DVD recorders and personal video recorders (PVRs). In addition, the company's products are targeted at the expanding networking and data communications markets in both wired and wireless applications.
